🇷🇼 Rwanda Top Group D, Set to Face Burkina Faso in Round of 16

Rwanda’s women’s national volleyball team has made an impressive start at the African Women’s Volleyball Championship taking place in Nairobi, Kenya, finishing top of Group D after winning all three of their group-stage matches.

In their opening match, Rwanda faced Algeria and secured a convincing 3–0 victory (25–22, 25–20, 25–16).

The Rwandan team continued its strong performance in the second match, defeating DR Congo 3–0 (25–6, 25–15, 25–16).

In their third and final group match, the Rwandan women once again dominated, beating Burundi 3–0 (25–6, 25–11, 25–13). The match lasted 58 minutes, with the first set taking 18 minutes, the second 22 minutes, and the third 18 minutes.

With three wins from three matches, Rwanda finished top of Group D and secured a place in the Round of 16, where they will face Burkina Faso, who finished bottom of Group B.

The Round of 16 match will be played at Ulinzi Complex Hall in Nairobi on Saturday, starting at 9:00 AM Kigali time.
