THE RWANDAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM, APR WBBC NA REG WBBC, PROUDLY REPRESENTED RWANDA AT THE FIBA AFRICA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE HELD IN CAIRO, EGYPT.

‎The Rwandan women’s basketball teams, APR WBBC and REG WBBC, proudly represented Rwanda at the FIBA Africa Women’s Basketball League (WBLA) held in Cairo, Egypt. The tournament tipped off on December 5, 2025, bringing together the strongest women’s basketball teams from across the African continent.

‎In the third place playoff match, APR WBBC 🇷🇼 once again wrote history by claiming the bronze medal 🥉 for the second consecutive time, after defeating ASC Ville de Dakar 🇸🇳 with a hard fought 90–84 victory. It was a battle of intensity and heart, where APR showcased experience, resilience, and a champion’s mentality, firmly establishing themselves among Africa’s elite women’s teams.

‎Meanwhile, REG WBBC🇷🇼 ended their campaign on a positive note with a determined 77–72 win against CNSS. This victory secured REG a seventh place finish in the FIBA Africa Women’s Basketball League. Though short of the podium, REG demonstrated courage, growth, and promise for the future.

‎Overall, both Rwandan teams carried the national flag with pride, proving that women’s basketball in Rwanda continues to rise, fearless and competitive on the African stage.
